After right fielder Quinton Urban was hit by a pitch, second baseman Shea Pierce hit a blooper over third base that scored Smith. The offense would score three runs in the seventh inning. Pinch hitter, Chris Florack came to the plate and hit a triple to left field, Florack would come home on a wild pitch from the Cane Cutter pitcher.
