The Bombers came out swinging scoring a season road high of eight runs including a 5 run 6th inning to win on the road. Danny Kelly pitched 3 and 2/3 innings in relief for the win, his longest outing of the season and Alec Mills got his first save of the season.
The Bombers scored in the first 3 innings, but fell behind after a slow start by Blinn starter Josh Dean who gave up 4 runs in the first inning. Sul Ross State sophomore Brennyn Smith continued his success at the plate from the last two games with a double, a stolen base and 3 RBI on the night.
The Bombers are off Sunday and will be back at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark on Monday night with 50 cent hot dogs, 50 cent pop-corn & 50 cent peanuts, along with a celebrity appearance by ABCs Modern Family TV Star Rico and Raini Rodriguez. Tuesday will be movie ticket night at the ballpark, where fans will receive tickets to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie at the appropriately themed Shipwreck Grill's Pirate Night, before going on the road in the middle of the week.
