Bryan-College Station, TX (July 7, 2010) – Tonight the Brazos Valley Bombers will be visited by the Mascot Hall of Fame’s official spokes mascot, Reggy the Purple Party Dude. It will also be the first ever meeting between the Bombers and the Alexandria Aces at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark.
Reggy is one of the nation’s most popular traveling mascots, entertaining millions throughout his career. He is known for his slapstick humor and interactions with umpires, players and coaches. Don’t forget that in addition to Reggy’s antics, it is Margaritaville Wednesday at the Ballpark with $1 margaritas all night long.
This will also be the first time that the Bombers have ever hosted the Alexandria Aces, one of the Texas Collegiate Leagues two expansion teams this summer. The Aces are not new to baseball, having been around for decades, but this is their first season in the TCL.
The Bombers will be looking to get the second half off to a great start, riding a wave of momentum from the exciting finish to the first half as well as stellar performances at the TCL All-Star game by all five All-Stars. For more information and for tickets visit bvbombers.com, call 979-779-PLAY, or stop by the Bombers office at 405 Mitchell Street in Bryan.
