Just two months removed from the 2009 season, Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark is ready to rock again, this time to a different tune than baseball.
The Brazos Valley Bombers will play host to “Live at the Ballpark,” which will feature the Stars of Pop Tribute Bands, Stoney Larue, Big Otis, Kathy Ross and several other bands in a weekend extravaganza.
Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, once known as just a baseball park, has begun to expand its borders over the past two years. With offseason events like BeerFest, Dia Del Nino, BooFest and FanFest, the ballpark has transformed into a year-round venue that boasts a smorgasbord of fun.
The weekend will kick off on October 16, with the Stars of Pop Concert, which features the Hannah Montana, Hillary Duff and Jonas Brothers tribute bands. The concert will begin at 5 pm on October 16, with tickets costing $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of the Brazos Valley Youth Leadership Cabinet.
Live at the Ballpark concludes the following day, on October 17, with an all-day musical festival that will feature headliner Stoney Larue, Big Otis, Kathy Ross and nine more bands. In addition to the music, there will be a rib cook-off, concessions and games to add to the experience.
