Cunningham led the OVC with 65 runs
Brazos Valley Bomber fans have yet another reason to be excited about the upcoming season after Todd Cunningham was named Ohio Valle y Conference Freshman of the Year. Jacksonville State went 27-5 after moving him to the leadoff position on their way to the OVC regular season championship. The centerfielder had a superb season, batting .340 and leading the OVC in runs scored with 65. With a great combination of hitting ability, plate patience, and speed, he is the ideal leadoff man, capable of generating multiple runs for his team each game. He compiled 73 hits and drew 40 walks while only striking out 31 times for a .464 on-base-percentage.
