Long Beach State Claims Big West Title
After taking two out of three games over Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State clinched first place in the Big West Conference and was selected to host a NCAA Regional match. T.J. Mittelstaedt was 3-for-8 in the series with a double, two runs, and four RBI on the weekend as Long Beach State captured the conference crown.

Houston wins Conference USA
The Cougars defeated Marshall 3-2 to win the conference tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament. They will play Dallas Baptist in the College Station region of the Tournament.

Eastern Illinois halts Jacksonville State’s 17 game winning streak
Jacksonville State’s season came to an unexpected end this past weekend, as the Gamecocks lost to Eastern Illinois and Southeastern Missouri and were eliminated from tournament play. Todd Cunningham was 4-for-10 with three runs and two doubles in the two games, but the Gamecocks couldn’t muster enough runs to overcome their opponents.

New Orleans gets back on track, advances to NCAA Tournament
After struggling at the end of the season, the Privateers won three of their last four in the Sun Belt Tournament and were selected to play Southern Mississippi in the Baton Rouge Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
