Jacksonville State begins two-game set against UAB

After a slow start to their season, Jacksonville State has rolled through the Ohio Valley Conference with a record of 17-4, which gives them a one game lead over Samford for first place.

Long Beach State begins four game home stand today
Long Beach State hosts Fresno State tonight as the Dirtbags go for their 28th win of the season. After falling to the Bulldogs 7-6 earlier this season in Fresno, Long Beach State will try to even the season series with a win tonight. T.J. Mittelstaedt, who struggled early on in the season, has gone 10-for-32 with nine RBI in the last 11 games, including a game-winning single in the 11th inning against Pacific.

New Orleans’ nine game win streak propels Privateers to National Ranking
After their convincing sweep over Florida-Atlantic, the University of New Orleans extending their winning streak to nine games and landed the 29th rank in the nation in the process. Former Bomber Mark McGonigle was 3-for-9 with three runs, two walks, and two RBI in the series for the Privateers, who are tied with Louisiana-Monroe for first place in the Sun Belt Conference. Today they will host Tulane in a bid for their 10th consecutive victory.
