The future of baseball is upon us and it is looking brighter than ever. This Saturday, boys and girls of ages 7-14 will join us at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark for Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run. It is a national competition that gives the kids an opportunity to display their abilities on four levels of competition- Local, Sectional, Team Championship, and the National Finals, which will be held in New York City at the 2008 MLB All-Star Game.
Registration for the competition will begin at 8am this Saturday with competition starting at 9am. Participants will tested on their ability to throw into the strike zone target, hit for distance and accuracy, and finally their speed will be timed running the bases. The contestant’s scores will be totaled and the champions will advance to the Sectional Level.
The Bombers’ staff will be joined by Mrs. College Station, Jennifer Foreman, in making the day a great success. Come and join the fun at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark this Saturday as our hometown kids exhibit their skills!
