Memphis comes up short despite Huelsing’s efforts
Tyler Huelsing was 2-for-4 with an RBI, but Ole Miss came away with the 5-4 win yesterday. It was the first meeting between the two teams, as the previous game had been rained out. The makeup game has been scheduled for April 29.

Whitmer, Longhorns defeat Texas Southern
Casey Whitmer pitched four innings, striking out four and allowing three runs as the University of Texas beat Texas Southern yesterday by a score of 7-4. Although it wasn’t Whitmer’s best showing of the season, it was enough for the victory.

Long Beach State opens Conference play today
Long Beach State will try to get back on the winning track today, as they open conference play against the University of California- Riverside Campus. UC Riverside won the Conference Championship last season, but this year the Dirtbags are the favorites. Long Beach State expects to get big contributions from Bomber stars T.J. Mittelstaedt and Dustin Rasco.
