McNeese State’s hit barrage downs Grambling State
Bomber shortstop Shon Landry hit one of McNeese State’s team record-tying eight doubles yesterday, as McNeese State rolled over Grambling State 14-2. Landry also scored a run, batted in a run, and drew two walks. McNeese State has now won 4 of 5 as they prepare for a weekend series against Southeastern Louisiana. Powerhouses Square Away this Weekend
Long Beach State, now ranked #4 in the country, will attempt to begin another winning streak this weekend as they travel to Berkeley to face #11 California. Long Beach State had won eight in a row, including 15 of 16 before falling to Pepperdine last Tuesday.
#13 Texas also has its hands full this weekend as #19 Nebraska comes to town for an important series in the Big 12 Standings. Nebraska currently is tied for the Big 12 lead with a 5-0-1 record, while Texas is third in the Big 12 with a 4-2 record. Casey Whitmer is not scheduled to start any of the three games, but is expected to see some action in a relief role this weekend. Stay tuned to see how our Bombers perform this weekend!
