Bryan/College Station, Texas (June 14, 2017)-In front of a jam-packed Nutrabolt Stadium on a Jurassic-themed Wednesday night, the Brazos Valley Bombers came up short in an 8-1 loss to the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
The pitching struggled throughout the game by putting on free-passes at the plate, and didn't ever find a groove until later in the night.
On the other side, the Acadiana Cane Cutters let their TCL-leading offense go to work and take care of business behind a complete-game from Austin Brown. Brown gave up 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, and struck out 6.
Some of the bright spots in the win was some flashy defense including a #SCTop10 type of grab from Dalton Stark in center field.
The Bombers have their lead in the TCL standings stay at 2 games over Victoria who had the night off, and Acadiana who tied things up with the win.
The Bombers stay at home and welcome in the Texarkana Twins on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm Wednesday and you can catch the pre-game show starting at 6:45pm all on Willy 1550, and radioaggieland.com.
