GATX Player of the Week: Thomas Jeffries
Bryan/College Station, Texas (June 5, 2017)-Thomas Jeffries has been named the Week 1 GATX Player of the Week for the Brazos Valley Bombers.
Jeffries spent last year playing for Paris JC and will be a Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islander next season. He started every game at First Base during week one and while having a great week in the field, had a better week from the plate.
Jeffries had a stat-line of 5 GS, .389 AVG, .500 OBP, 7 R, 7 SB, and 2 RBI in the first week of action. He was able to find a way on base for what seemed like every time he had an at bat, and had reached safely 12 out of his first 16 at-bats of the season.
The Bombers comclude their series with the Texas Marshals Tuesday night in Plano. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm and you can catch the pre-game show starting at 6:45pm all on Willy 1550, and radioaggieland.com.
