A little background on Cole Pletka first. Pletka is a product of Richmond, TX, is a freshman righty for Alvin CC. Listed at 6'7", 235, he is a polarizing figure on the hill despite his young age.

Pletka made his first outing of the season against Texarkana last weekend, only making it through 4 innings. But had a chance today for redemtion against the very same team.

He then went on to retire every player that he faced and confused every hitter that the Twins threw his way. Pletka had to get over the hump of being down 3-0 in the count against the pinch hitter Joseph Shepard, and battled back to strike him out to reach within one hitter of history. He was then faced with Right Fielder-Johnny Gonzalez and got him to fly out in right, and completed the night.

2-0 was the final score of the second leg, now let's give credit to what happened in the first game. 

The Bomber's lineup bolted out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning while they took advantage of a couple walks, then converted at the dish.

After that the Bombers were able to settle behind Brandon Ivey on the mound. The Twins scratched across 2 runs in the 3rd inning and the Bombers then added another to grow their lead. Then the rain began to fall. Between the 6th and 7th, the bottom dropped out and the decision was made to delay the game for 30 minutes.

The activities of jousting, dance competitions, tic-tak-toe, army crawl competitions, human bowling, and a crowd dance party ensued to keep everyone more than entertained. 

After the rain delay, the Bombers and Gavin Alvarez took care of business to close out the last three batter and secure the 6-2 victory.

The Bombers head on the and play again tomorrow night at 7:05pm in Plano against the Texas Marshals. Pre-game is set for 6:45 on Willy 1550 and on the radioaggieland.com website.
