Bryan- College Station, TX (March 6, 2017) – The Brazos Valley Bombers announced today that Spencer Hemphill will be returning for the 2017 campaign.
Hemphill was an integral part of the Bombers winning their fourth straight TCL Championship. He led all Bomber catchers in hits (22), homeruns (2), RBIs (19) and started the most games behind the plate, including the Championship Game, where he had a sacrifice fly in the second inning to give the Bombers a lead they would never relinquish.
He is currently a junior at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has started nine of 12 games behind the plate for the Warhawks and has 4 RBIs so far on the season. Hemphill has started at least 40 games for the Warhawks since arriving on campus in 2015.
