Bryan-College Station, TX (August 3, 2016) -
As we’re all aware, the Brazos Valley officials have instituted a burn ban for the area.
After long deliberations all the way till this morning, the Brazos Valley Bombers announce with a heavy heart that we are cancelling the fireworks show for tonight and for Sunday night at this time.
The popularity of our fireworks this summer has been incredible. We’ve enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces of our fans, beaming as bright as the fireworks that light up the sky. As much as we will miss those moments tonight, we would never do anything to jeopardize the safety of our fans.
Take heart, though, that the excitement will continue at Nutrabolt Stadium tonight with a visit from the national traveling act - "The Sweet Right Brothers". The Bombers remain the top destination in the Brazos Valley for affordable family fun.
Like all of you, we can’t wait for some great news about next week’s Friday Fireworks show and a chance to light up the night sky again with a fireworks show at the ballpark. In the meantime, we look forward to enjoying a Bombers game with you and your family sometime soon.
Please join us tonight as the Bombers take on the Woodlands Strykers, first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
