Bombers Blowout Leads to 12th Consecutive Win
Bryan-College Station (July 14, 2016) – The Bombers continue to their 12th win in a row after defeating the Texas Marshals 7-0 tonight. The impressive hitting and solid pitching drove the Bombers into another successful blowout.
MacGregor Hines and Anthony Herrera struck out two players each while allowing zero runs.
Alex Samples took the lead with assisting three runs at bat, alongside of Herrera, Garrett McCain and Spencer Hemphill who also assisted with runs. McCain started the runs in the top of the 6th inning and leading behind him was Hunter Wilson, Logan Bottrell, and Riley Schaefer with three more runs in the seventh. Finishing off the game in the 9th inning, McCain, Herrera and Samples scored the final three runs turning the defeat into a blowout.
Brazos Valley will stay on the road to continue to defend their winning streak as they take on the Texas Marshals again tomorrow at 7:05pm. The next home game for the Bombers will be July 20th for Wings Wednesday sponsored by Smitty K’s Sports Bar and Grill. My BCS Home will be hosting Game Show Night and the Bombers will be wearing Price Is Right jerseys.
