Bombers Open Series with WIn
Bryan-College Station (July 8, 2016) – The Bombers traveled to the Woodlands for a two game set and walked away from the first game with a 4-2 win, extending their win streak to seven games. The team, having already clinched the first half title in the Texas Collegiate League, continues to improve their record.
Hunter Neal started for the Bombers and went eight innings while only giving up six hits and no runs. Neal got the win for the Bombers, pushing his record to 2-1 on the summer. Joey Zurawik made his pitching debut for the Bombers in ninth inning, giving up the Strykers two runs but also striking out three in his lone inning of work.
The offense was highly efficient with their scoring as all four runs came off of four total hits in the game. All of the Bombers hits came from the final third of the lineup tonight highlighted by Anthony Herrera going 2 for 3 at the plate and an RBI in the seventh.
The Bombers wrapped up their series with the Strykers tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m.
