After an amazing opening home stand at American Momentum Bank Ballpark this past week, the Bombers were unable to keep their strong stamina alive in Dallas with a 0-2 loss to the Texas Marshals Saturday night.
Marshals pitcher Keaton Brewer was able to hold the Bombers to four hits over his eight thrown innings. Brazos Valley arm Guillermo Trujillo also held the Marshals to four hits, but an error in the first and a walk in the second gifted Dallas with the two unearned runs. The remainder of the game was a pitching duel as both Trujillo and Brewer were able to keep the offense scoreless. Coach Curt Dixon praised Brewer’s efforts on the mound and said “we have to tip our hats to him and get ready to beat them tomorrow.”
The Bombers are now 8-1 and will face the Texas Marshals again tomorrow in Dallas at 7:05pm. Action returns to American Momentum Bank Ballpark next Thursday, July 13 at 7:05pm when the Bombers meet the Woodlands Strykers again.
