The TCL announced Braden Mattson Player of the Week for the second time this summer. Mattson now holds the honor for weeks 1 and 6. After playing in the TCL All Star Game this week Mattson took the opportunity to show fans just what he was capable of. The TCU freshman dominated over the Woodlands on July 15th, where he went 3-for-3 with a double, two home runs and 7 RBI. Mattson increased his league-leading RBI total by driving in 8 runs for the week. Mattson batted .556 (5 for 9) and ended the 3 game week with a slugging percentage of 1.333.
The Bombers are currently in East Texas to take on the Pump Jacks before heading back to the Brazos Valley for an off day tomorrow. The Bombers will return to American Momentum Bank Ballpark on Friday, July 20th for Family Friday presented by George Bush Presidential Library and a fantastic fireworks show courtesy of Hilton College Station.
