The Bombers road trip to the defending champions Victoria Generals started slow, as the General took an early 6-0 lead. The top of the 4th seemed as a turning point, as Brennyn Smith drove in catcher John Cannon and Trey Porras with a 3 run home run in the second consecutive game.The Bombers continued to mount their comeback, tieing the score in the top of the 8th inning at 7-7. However, the Bombers night would end on a sour note as a two out single by Generals Brad Shankle scored Jake Runte for the win.

The team expects continued improvement on both sides as the roster fills up with returning Bombers veterans Casey Dykes and John Hale joining the team this weekend after great collegiate seasons for Western Kentucky and Sam Houston State.

The next home game is this Monday with 50 cent hot dogs, 50 cent pop-corn & 50 cent peanuts, along with a celebrity appearance by ABC’s Modern Family TV Star Rico and Raini Rodriguez. Tuesday will be movie ticket night at the ballpark, where fans will receive tickets to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie at the appropriately themed Shipwreck Grill's Pirate Night, before going on the road in the middle of the week.
