Bryan-College Station, TX (August 5, 2010) – The Texas Collegiate League announced today that Bryan, Texas, and Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark will be the host of the 2011 TCL All-Star game and showcase. The game will take place in early July, featuring the best players in the league and will be preceded by a showcase and Home Run Derby.
The Bombers burst onto the scene in the Texas Collegiate League in 2007 and have quickly asserted themselves as the class of the league. The selection as the All-Star game’s host is yet another example of the impact the organization has had in just four years.
Bombers Co-Owner Uri Geva said Thursday, “This is a big day not just for the Bombers, but for the community as a whole. We could not be more excited.”
The Brazos Valley Bombers are members of the Texas Collegiate League, one of the nation’s premier summer collegiate circuits. Teams like the Bombers bring minor league baseball-style entertainment to communities throughout the country, giving some of the best college players a chance to further their careers in wood bat leagues in front of Major League scouts.
