Bryan-College Station, TX (July 9, 2010) – The Brazos Valley Bombers are excited to announce that Wally Moon will join to Bombers on Sunday, June 11 to toss a ceremonial first pitch and speak with the team just before the game starts.
In his career, Wally Moon was an outstanding baseball player. He won the 1954 National League Rookie of the Year, was a 3-time All-Star, and a 2-time World Series Champion. He is also on a short list of players who hit home runs in their first major league at bat.
The appearance of Moon will only add to the excitement on Super Hero Night this Sunday when the Bombers honor all Brazos Valley Fire and Police officials.
