The 2009 FLO Bowl is coming to Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark this Sunday, November 15, for a day of fun and excitement that includes a flag football tournament and many other activities. The FLO (Freshman Leadership Organization) Bowl is put on by MSC FISH, a student organization at Texas A&M University.
The all-day event begins at 8 am, with cost of admission being just $2 and proceeds going to the Texas A&M High School Service Conference, which will take place next spring. The conference is a three day event for high school juniors and seniors that focuses on instilling servant leadership principles through community service, guest speakers and exposure to a real college environment. Proceeds from FLO Bowl will help pay for the students who normally would not be able to afford the conference fees.
After the conclusion of the football tournament, there will be a trophy presentation, followed by live music performances by Preston Leatherman and Charlie Gore. In addition to all the festivities at the ballpark, there will also be open concessions throughout the day.
