With the rainstorms that have preoccupied the Brazos Valley for the past several weeks out of the way, Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark was rocking all weekend to the tunes of several unique musical artists.
The Stars of Pop Tribute Bands, which features the tribute bands for Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, and the Jonas Brothers, kicked off Friday evening and provided many young fans with a great experience. For the many children that were in attendance to a concert for the first time in their lives, memories were forged that will last for many years to come.
With the crowd cheering loudly in approval for four consecutive hours, the Stars of Pop played the latest hits and interacted with the crowd, teaching the children new dance routines. The night even included a surprise appearance from tribute band performer Taylor Swift, much to the children’s delight.
Live at the Ballpark continued Saturday with an all-day rib and music festival that included live music from 10 bands, including headliners Kathy Ross, Big Otis and Stoney LaRue. In addition, there were games, a rib cook-off and celebrity judges from all around the Bryan-College Station area.
Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, once known as just a baseball park, has begun to expand its borders over the past two years. With offseason events like BeerFest, Dia Del Nino, BooFest and FanFest, the ballpark has transformed into a year-round venue that boasts a smorgasbord of fun.
