The Brazos Valley Bombers came up short tonight in McKinney, as Michael Bolsinger struck out 10 in a 2-0 victory. The loss drops the Bombers to 16-15 on the season.
Jake Liedka was outstanding for the Bombers, but the lack of run support was his undoing. Liedka allowed just one earned run in seven innings and struck out five, but Bolsinger kept the Bombers in check throughout the game.
Clifton Thomas kept his hot hitting up, as he was 2-for-4, but the Marshals did not allow a single Brazos Valley runner to reach second base in the entire game.
The Bombers will look to even the series tomorrow against the Marshals as Drew Flaniken will be on the mound. Flaniken is one win away from tying the Bombers’ single season record for wins, which was set by Jason Zylstra a season ago with five.
