Bombers Announce 2009 Schedule

Bombers 2009 Schedule

The Brazos Valley Bombers are proud to announce the 2009 Schedule Presented by Mack Bolt and Steel, Bruders Electrical, and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

The Bombers will be holding promotional nights each and every game of the 2009 season, with Margaritaville Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Fireworks Fridays, and Saturday Giveaways returning from last summer. The Bombers will be playing 15 of their 24 home games on the weekend this season, including four games on Fireworks Friday, which has become the Bombers biggest tradition night.

The Bombers will be back at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark next summer for their third season of Texas Collegiate League play. Yesterday, the TCL unveiled the new 48-game schedule, which will kick off play on June 5 and conclude on August 8, with the TCL Playoffs concluding August 16.

The Brazos Valley Bombers, who will be looking to capture their first TCL Crown, will open the season on the road against the defending champion McKinney Marshals. After a two day rest, they will meet the Marshals again on June 9 for the home opener at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark. A week later, the expansion Victoria team will come to town for their first matchup against the Bombers.

With the addition of Victoria to the TCL, the format will be different in the 2009 season. Last year, all teams played Tuesday through Sunday with one night off per week.  In the upcoming season, teams will have two and sometimes even three days off at a time, which will provide additional flexibility and give the players more rest.

Season tickets for the 2009 season are available now and can be purchased at the same affordable rate as the past two seasons. Season tickets are now available for the 2009 season and can be found online at www.bvbombers.com or by calling 979-779-PLAY.
