After over a month of uncertainty, the Brazos Valley Bombers’ “Ambassador of Fun” finally made his return from surgery. The rehabilitation process is over and KaBoom is expected to be back to his old self, active in community events around town.
KaBoom endured multiple operations last month to repair holes in his seams, a broken belt and broken shoes, as well as reconstructive eye surgery and a fusal operation. The injuries he suffered were a product of the many tireless hours he spent at Bombers games and around the Bryan-College Station area, making a positive difference in the community. The timetable for recovery was originally predicted to be two-to-four weeks, but after a month had gone by KaBoom still found himself bed-ridden with blurry vision. Having been the first patient ever to undergo fusal restoration surgery, doctors feared he would suffer a relapse.
With hope seemingly fading away, KaBoom’s vigor suddenly came back to him like a whirlwind. KaBoom’s strength returned miraculously and sources close to the team say that he is stronger than ever before. The Bombers would like to thank all of KaBoom’s fans for the incredible support he received during his struggle to overcome his injuries.
