Dustin Rasco is a perfect 7-for-7 in save opportunities
A day after absorbing their biggest loss of the season, the Bombers bounced back in style with a 2-1 nail biting victory over the Coppell Copperheads. The Bombers pitching staff only allowed four hits on the evening and compiled 11 strikeouts. The win moves the Bombers back into a tie for second place with the Copperheads and East Texas Pumpjacks at 11-13.
Brandon Godfrey pitched magnificently for the Bombers, striking out nine Copperhead hitters while only surrendering four hits and one run. Chad Colbert enjoyed a breakout performance at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run, a stolen base and an RBI single.
Dustin Rasco came in to pitch a perfect 9th inning to ice the game for the Bombers and collect his league-leading seventh save of the season. The Bombers will be back home for Kids Eat Free Tuesday to face the McKinney Marshals.
