Cunningham leads Jacksonville State sweep over SE Missouri State
Todd Cunningham caught fire this past weekend, collecting five hits in 12 at-bats as Jacksonville State rolled over SE Missouri State in three games. He also scored six runs and drew three walks in a three game span in which Jacksonville State scored 30 runs.
McNeese State unable to solve UT Arlington
Tyler Davis pitched well, but it was not enough to overcome the balance of UT Arlington, as McNeese State fell on Friday 7-2. Davis had seven strikeouts in seven innings and allowed five earned runs, but McNeese State could not get their bats going. Shon Landry, who has been magnificent all season, struggled, going just 1-for-14 on the weekend.
Texas A&M disposes of Oklahoma in three games
Texas A&M won their 12th consecutive game after completing the three game sweep over Oklahoma on Sunday. The Sooners were no match for the Aggies balance, as they were outscored 30-12.
Bombers lead Memphis to victory in 11 innings
Tyler Huelsing was 3-for-5 for with a double, walk and RBI and Marcus Barnes struck out six in just three innings while only allowing one run, as Memphis defeated Central Florida 8-7.
Long Beach State loses 2 of 3 to UC Irvine
The Dirtbags’ struggles continued this past weekend, as they dropped two of three to in-state rival UC Irvine. T.J. Mittelstaedt had a superb weekend, going 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI, but Long Beach State struggled to manufacture runs as they lost for the 11th time in 13th games.
