Coming out of high school in Beaumont, TX, Wingate was rated the #33 SS in Texas by Perfect Game and orriginally signed with the Houston Cougars baseball program before tranfering to Cisco JC after his freshaman season.

Listed at 6-0, 170 lbs, hit .350 with 1 HR and 45 RBIs this past season in 56 games with Cisco and had fielded interest from multiple organizations including the Big 12's Oklahoma State.

Wingate is currently a part of the TCL's 1st-place Brazos Valley Bombers and has been a main-stay in the top of the lineup and is hitting .247 with 6 RBIs, 2 2Bs, and 4 SB.

Allonte and the Bombers take on Victoria Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm and the pre-game show can be found on Willy 1550 and radioaggieland.com starting at 6:45pm.
