Bombers Hold On for a 3-2 Win
Bryan-College Station, Texas (August 7, 2016)-Anthony Herrera was named to the All-Decade team and proved why he deserved that honor as he knocked in two runs for a 3-2 Bombers victory.
The Bombers celebrated Bombercon Comic Night sponsored by Intersteam Carpet Cleaning as they wore jerseys to honor the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The turtles in a half shell made a special appearance at the game.
Herrera gave the Bombers the lead in the bottom of the fifth with a 2-run single that scored Garrett McCain and Riley Schaefer. Herrera had two hits on the night and upped his league leading batting average to .360.
Schaefer had two hits on the night and scored a run.
MacGregor Hines recorded his fifth win of the season as he went six and two-thirds and allowed one run with ten strikeouts. Hines lowered his ERA to 1.21, tops in the TCL.
The Bombers finish out the series with the Texas Marshals on Military Monday sponsored by Citizens State Bank. European Wax Center will host Good Karma Monday where fans will enjoy a “name your price” ticket. 50% of the revenue for each ticket will go to a participating non-profit of their choosing. Gates open at 6 pm.
