Pitching Brings Home Bomber Win with 1 Hit Shutout
Bryan-College Station (June 23, 2016) – The Bombers were able to complete the sweep of the Texas Marshals on Thursday night with a 6-0 victory. The win was motivated by a combined one hit shutout from pitchers Steven Dressler and Riley McCauley.
Dressler, who started on the bump for the Bombers, was able to go six innings giving up one hit while striking out twelve. McCauley came out of the pen for the Bombers and struck out four batters and didn’t give up a single hit in his three innings of work.
The Bombers run scoring was spread out as five different players scored the six runs in four of the nine innings. John Grimsley hit leadoff for the Bombers tonight and went 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Ben Hollas came off the bench for the Bombers and was able to go 2 for 3 while scoring a run.
Bring the family out to Firework Friday presented by TEEX as the Bombers return home to face the Woodlands Strykers. Game time is 7:05 and the team will be wearing special jerseys for Superhero night.
