Bombers open season #9 in the first National Poll
Bryan-College Station, TX (June 17, 2016) - Summer baseball leagues across North America are underway and the first national rankings from CollegiateSummerBaseball.com has the Bombers as the 9th best team in the country.
The Bombers have finished in the top 5 national rankings over the last 3 seasons, including a National Championship in 2013. Collegiate Summer Baseball had the Bombers ranked third in the country at the end of the 2015 season following their third straight Texas Collegiate League title.
The Brazos Valley Bombers are finding themselves in the familiar position of first place in the Texas Collegiate League at the quarter mark of the season. After a delayed start to the season the Bombers picked up where they left off last summer and raced out to a 10-1 record over the first two weeks of the season with the lone loss coming to the Acadiana Cane Cutters who are ranked 19th in this first ranking of the year.
The Bombers continue the “Road to Four” tonight on the road against the Victoria Generals before returning home for a weekend set against the Generals.
