Bryan-College Station, TX (June 7, 2016) - The Brazos Valley Bombers began their double-header homestand, on Monday June 6th, with a win.
The Brazos Valley Bombers made a miraculous comeback in their home opener against the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Bombers were down 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th inning when one hit scored two runs to tie the game. Alex Samples, a sophomore from Southeast Missouri State, hits a walk off grand slam to win the game 6-2.
Monday night’s game recognized many teachers in the Brazos Valley area hosted by Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union. In front of a large audience, the Bombers appreciated the hard work these teachers dedicate to their students.
Tuesday, June 7th, will be celebrating “Like a Boss” night to represent the Brazos Valley bosses who have been nominated by their employees for their great leadership skills. Tuesday is dedicated to “Trophy Tuesday,” sponsored by Avante Guard College Prep, to celebrate the scholastic and athletic accomplishments of the students in the Bryan-College Station areas.
