Gregory Wins Pitcher of the Week Honors
Do-It-All Pitcher Continues Domination of TCL
Bryan-College Station (June 22, 2015) – The Brazos Valley Bombers currently lead the TCL with a 12-4 record this season, and pitcher C.J. Gregory has been a force on the mound for the back-to-back league champions.
Gregory, a Junior from Oklahoma Wesleyan, was named TCL Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 16 to June 21. Gregory is primarily a relief pitcher, however, he made a spot start for the Bombers on June 19 against the Texas Marshals, tossing six hitless innings and striking out four batters without allowing a run. Gregory is the league leader in wins with a perfect 5-0 record in six appearances for the Bombers this season. Gregory is also second in the league in ERA at 0.54 and third in strikeouts with 18.
Gregory and the Bombers return to the field tomorrow for a two-game homestand on Tuesday, June 23, here in the Brazos Valley against the Texas Marshals with the first pitch at 7:05 pm. That night will be “Like A Boss” Night, sponsored by Burger King; as well as Trophy Tuesday. Wednesday night will be Faith and Family Night, brought to you by Batteries + Bulbs; in conjunction with Weenie Wednesday, presented by Citizen State Bank. Hot dogs will be 90 cents to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Citizen State Bank.
