Bombers Sweep Marshals, Win Fifth Straight
Bryan-College Station, TX (June 19, 2015) – With a Delorean on site and special Back to the Future-themed jerseys on their backs, thanks to American Sleep Center, the TCL-leading Brazos Valley Bombers kept up their winning ways and defeated the Texas Marshals tonight by a score of 9-2. This was the Bombers’ fifth straight victory, improving their league-best record to 12-2 this season.
Pitcher CJ Gregory no-hit the Marshals for six innings to earn his league-leading fifth win of the season. His record now stands at a perfect 5-0. Leftfielder Mitch Holgate stood out for the Bombers on offense, hitting a double and driving in three runs to help lead the charge.
After lighting up the scoreboard at Cellucor Field, the Bombers lit up the night sky with a dazzling fireworks display, presented by Halcón Resources, set to music from the movie Back to the Future.
