University of New Orleans completes sweep of Alabama
The Privateers’ hitters could do nothing wrong as they defeated Alabama for the second game in a row in a convincing 17-8 win yesterday. Bomber Jim McGonigle got the start for the Privateers, pitching two innings and surrendering four runs. His teammate, first baseman Jerad Comarda, stole the show going 4-for-4 with two homeruns.
Runnin’ Rebels dominate the University of Arkansas-Little Rock 12-5
Ole Miss proved why they are title contenders with an easy win over the Trojans. Brazos Valley Bomber pitcher Garrett Duff is quietly becoming one the more reliable relievers for the Rebels and he should contribute in a big way for the Bombers this summer. He pitched a perfect 8th inning and struck out one, keeping the Trojans from gaining any ground on the Rebels.
Long Beach State plays host to UCLA this weekend
The #6 ranked Dirtbags meet #11 UCLA in a three game series this weekend, in what many believe is a preview of the College World Series. Serving primarily as the setup man, he has been nothing short of amazing, posting a 2.00 ERA, while limiting opposing hitters to a .188 batting average.

The Longhorns are traveling to Lubbock this weekend for a three game series against the Red Raiders from Texas Tech and hope to distance themselves in the Big 12 Standings. Star Bomber Casey Whitmer will likely take the mound in one of the games and attempt to build on his recent success.
