Bombers Strengthen the Lineup with Elite Bats and Veteran Versatility
Coronado, Martin-Rodriguez, Marshall, and Ballard add punch to the lineup and depth to the roster
Bryan-College Station, TX (May 29, 2026) – The Brazos Valley Bombers are pleased to welcome Jordan Coronado, Tori Martin-Rodriguez, Jax Marshall, and Easton Ballard to the roster. The group brings a mixture of elite offensive production, positional versatility, and veteran experience to the Bombers.
Jordan Coronado is the definition of a complete player. The junior from Anderson, Texas, spent the season at Paris Junior College doing a little bit of everything, appearing in 48 games while slashing .328/.443/.563 with 3 home runs, 41 RBI, and 27 runs scored. His .443 on-base percentage reflects a disciplined approach at the plate, and his .563 slugging percentage shows he can do serious damage when he gets a pitch to hit. Coronado’s ability to contribute both on the mound as a right-handed pitcher and in the field makes him one of the most versatile weapons on the roster. A Construction Science major, Coronado brings a hard-nosed approach to the game that fits perfectly with the Bombers’ culture.
Tori Martin-Rodriguez is simply one of the most dangerous hitters the Bombers have added. The junior outfielder and first baseman from Klein, Texas, has put together a jaw-dropping season at Wichita State, slashing .432/.500/.797 across 40 games with 11 home runs, 39 RBI, and 27 runs scored. Those are numbers that jump off the page at any level, and his .500 on-base percentage speaks to a hitter who not only does damage when he connects but also works counts and reaches base at an elite clip. An Entrepreneurship major, Martin-Rodriguez brings the mentality of a competitor. Opposing pitchers in the TCL have been put on notice.
Jax Marshall gives Brazos Valley another reliable bat and a steady presence in the outfield. The sophomore from McKinney, Texas, appeared in 35 games for Weatherford College this season, posting a .282/.425/.435 slash line with 2 home runs, 20 RBI, and 19 runs scored. Marshall’s standout trait is his ability to get on base, as his .425 on-base percentage reflects a patient, professional approach in the batter’s box. A Construction Management major, Marshall has the work ethic and the skillset to contribute immediately for the Bombers and develop into a key piece of the lineup as the summer progresses.
Easton Ballard rounds out the group, bringing senior leadership and a veteran left-handed arm to a Bombers pitching staff that can always use another southpaw. The Longview, Texas, native comes to Brazos Valley after his time at Sam Houston State University, where he developed under one of the top programs in the Southland Conference. A Business Administration major, Ballard carries the experience of a player who has competed at a high level for many years, and the Bombers are counting on that maturity to make an impact.
