Bombers Rally Again, Start 2015 Season 3-0
Late Inning Magic Lifts Bombers to Third Straight Victory
Bryan-College Station, TX (June 4, 2015) – For the third night in a row, the Bombers generate momentum in the late innings to propel themselves to victory. After falling behind 6-1 early, the Bombers batted around in the 6th inning and tied the game. The Generals scored again in the top of the 7th to take a 1-run lead, but the Bombers rallied for a four-run bottom of the 8th to win the game 10-7.
Sebastian Zawada was the Cellucor Player of the Game, going 2-5 with 2 RBI and a double that scored the go-ahead runs for the Bombers in the 8th inning. Pitcher C.J. Gregory was strong once again out of the bullpen for the Bombers with two and one-third innings of no-hit baseball and 4 strikeouts to get the win.
The largest crowd of the young 2015 season was on-hand to witness the heroic comeback on Thirsty Thursday at Cellucor Field, thanks to Western Beverages. In addition to the momentum the Bombers have been building on the field, they have been building momentum off of it as well. Attendance is climbing at the ballpark and successful promotions, such as Thirsty Thursday have played a role in that.
The Bombers will wrap up this series and homestand tomorrow night on FANtastic Friday, before heading out on the road for the first time this season. Before the game, Fedstar Credit Union will be sponsoring a Class Car Show at Cellucor Field and FedStar will also be sponsoring the first Friday night fireworks show of the 2015 season after the game. First pitch will be at 7:05 pm.
