The Countdown Begins for Opening Day

   Its time! The Brazos Valley Bombers have released its new 2013 Texas Collegiate schedule! The 2013 season will be the Bombers’ 7th season in the TCL. This summer the Bombers are ready to come back and play with high expectations after their record breaking season in 2012. The Bombers ended last season with the best overall record with 39 wins and 21 losses as well as the most wins in franchise history. The Bombers can also add national ranking to their list of accomplishments as they finished at #27 in the Perfect Game USA Nation’s Top 30 Teams. The Bombers are looking forward to an exciting season with hope to capture their first TCL Championship especially after coming off one of their best seasons to date.
The Bombers will begin the 2013 season on the road with a pair of games starting Thursday, May 30 against the Acadiana Cane Cutters followed by another two games in Dallas versus the Texas Marshals.

The Bombers will return to American Momentum Bank Ballpark on Tuesday, June 4 for their home opener against their closest rivals in the TCL, The Woodland Strykers. The Bombers were 7-2 in 2012 versus the Strykers and hope to continue that winning record again in 2013 against the second year franchise.

The Bombers will host a total of 30 regular season home games during the summer against the other TCL members.  The Acadiana Cane Cutters, East Texas Pump Jacks, Texas Marshals, Victoria Generals, and Woodlands Strykers will all make trips to American Momentum Bank Ballpark to take on the Bombers this summer.

The TCL All-Star game will be held Tuesday, July 9 as the East Texas Pumpjacks host the event at Driller Park in Kilgore, Texas. The TCL regular season will continue on July 11. The Bombers will finish out the season in a pair of games against the Acadiana Cane Cutters.

The 2013 TCL postseason is scheduled for August 10-13. If you would like to know more rules and information on the TCL visit texascollegiateleague.com.
