Bryan-College Station, TX (June 13, 2023) – The Bombers struggled tonight and resulted in a loss to Seguin with the score of 15-2. The hits tonight were from strong performances by Simon Larragna with a solo home run and Cole Plowman logging a double in one of his at bats. Along with these, Casey Susneri earned a single late in the game getting through the six hole and Cole Modgling had a base hit sending Erick Martinez home for the Bombers second run. The River Monsters came out really strong scoring 7 runs in the first inning resulting in the Bombers having a difficult time regaining enough momentum to take off offensively. Despite the first inning the defense progressively improved throughout the game giving up much fewer runs through the remainder of the innings. The Bombers will take on the River Monsters again on Thursday at home in hopes of better results.
On Wednesday, the Bombers are back at home where they will play against the Cane Cutters who were previously almost shut out 10-1 by this Brazos Valley team and look to do the same thing for the home fans again. The following day the Bombers remain at home to take on the River Monsters against seeing a lot of time with this team in the first half of the season. Friday and Saturday the team will travel to Acadiana to take on the Cane Cutters and will end the week on the road still to take on the Rougarou in Baton Rouge. The Bombers are currently third in the league and securing wins in this packed schedule week could easily propel them up in the rankings especially with hitters like Casey Sunseri who continues to lead the TCL in batting average.
