Bombers to Honor the Legacy of Charlie Van Eman During SuperHero Night Benefiting Adam’s Army Foundation

On Saturday, July 11, the Brazos Valley Bombers will host one of the most meaningful nights of the 2026 season as SuperHero Night, proudly presented by the Bryan, Texas office of HUB International, formerly ANCO Insurance, celebrates the everyday heroes who make the Brazos Valley stronger – from local first responders to children courageously battling cancer.

For more than 150 years, the Bryan office of HUB International has been a trusted insurance partner for families, businesses, and organizations throughout the Brazos Valley. Their commitment to serving the community extends far beyond insurance, and the Bombers are proud to partner with HUB International in presenting an evening dedicated to honoring local heroes while giving back to families facing childhood cancer.

As a thank you to those who answer the call every day, all local first responders will receive free admission to the game. Young fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the first 50 children through the gates will receive a free Brazos Valley Bombers SuperHero Cape.

At the center of the evening is a tribute to a young boy whose courage continues to inspire the community every single day.

The Bombers have partnered with Adam’s Army Foundation to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Van Eman, a beloved member of a local Bryan family whose battle with cancer touched countless lives throughout the Brazos Valley. Through his strength, infectious smile, and unwavering spirit, Charlie became a symbol of hope, resilience, and love for so many families who followed his journey.

Although Charlie’s time here was far too short, the impact he made continues to be felt across Bryan-College Station. His story united neighbors, schools, businesses, churches, youth sports organizations, and complete strangers who rallied around the Van Eman family with prayers, encouragement, and acts of kindness. His legacy continues to remind our community what courage, compassion, and faith look like in the face of unimaginable adversity.

To honor Charlie and the entire Van Eman family, the Bombers will wear special one-night-only Charlie commemorative jerseys during SuperHero Night. Following the game, the jerseys will be awarded through a digital online auction, with 100% of the net proceeds benefiting Adam’s Army Foundation.

Adam’s Army Foundation has become a beacon of hope for families facing childhood cancer by providing encouragement, financial assistance, and practical support when it is needed most. Through this partnership, Charlie’s legacy will continue helping children and families who are now walking the same difficult road.

The online jersey auction will go  LIVE on July 3, allowing fans to bid from anywhere at any time. Bidding will remain open through the evening of Saturday, July 11, giving supporters across the community the opportunity to own a piece of this special night while making a meaningful difference for local families.

“SuperHero Night is about recognizing the people who inspire us every day,” said Bombers Managing Partner Chris Clark. “Our first responders are heroes. The children fighting cancer are heroes. And Charlie Van Eman will always be one of our community’s heroes. We are incredibly honored to partner with Adam’s Army Foundation and HUB International to celebrate Charlie’s life, support the Van Eman family, and continue bringing hope to families who need it most.”

The Bombers encourage fans to wear their favorite superhero gear, arrive early, and be part of an unforgettable evening centered on courage, community, and giving back.
