Bombers Finish Road Trip Unbeaten

Euless, TX – June 5, 2018 – An exciting night in Euless against the Texas Marshals as the Bombers come out strong in the first and then stay quiet until the sixth inning. The Marshals gave the Bombers a scare when they took the lead in the middle of the game.

The Bombers offense got going early, scoring three runs due to the success from the top of the line-up. The Marshals answer back scoring two runs in the first making the score 3-2. In the fourth inning, the Marshals scored two runs taking the lead. The Bombers went silent until the sixth inning when Kyle Bergeron hits a single and then steals second base. Robin Adames ties the game by hitting a single, bringing Bergeron in. In the seventh Brady Batten hit a single to get on and stole second. Chase Kemp comes to the plate and hits a single to bring Batten home giving the Bombers a 5-4 lead. Late in the seventh the Marshals, yet again, answer tying the game at 5.

The Bombers have a huge 9th inning started by a single from Christain Sepulveda and with a walk from Chase Kemp. With two runners on and one in scoring position Iverson lays down a beautiful bunt loading up the bases. Bennett Inoff hits a sacrifice fly to left field letting Sepulveda walk in. Cole Coker then gets a hit to right field allowing two runs to score, putting the Bombers in the lead 8-5. The Marshals did not have an answer for the Bombers allowing them to take their 8th straight win with a final score of 8-5.

The Bombers head home for a two game series against the Victoria Generals June 6th and 7th. The Bombers then get a couple days off and will stay at home through the 13th of June.
