Bombers Bolster Pitching Staff with Four Right-Handed Arms
Shirley, Williams, Edmunds, and Grohman bring Texas roots and mound experience to College Station
Bryan-College Station, TX (May 25, 2026) – The Brazos Valley Bombers announced today the addition of four right handed pitchers for the upcoming Texas Collegiate League season: Austin Shirley, Grady Williams, Cameron Edmunds, and Augustine Grohman. The quartet of Texas-born arms gives the Bombers added depth and firepower on the mound as the club gears up for another run at the TCL title.
Cameron Edmunds joins the Bombers from the University of Houston, where the redshirt sophomore from Anahuac, Texas, has been honing his craft on one of the state’s most competitive rosters. Edmunds has appeared out of the bullpen for the Cougars this season. A Retail and Consumer Science major, Edmunds has the drive and the background to make the most of a full summer of high-level competition in the TCL.
Rounding out the group is Augustine Grohman, a sophomore right-hander from San Antonio, Texas, who has been a reliable weapon for UTRGV this season. The Business Management major and emerging late-inning option gives the Bombers a versatile arm who can work in multiple roles across the summer schedule.
Austin Shirley arrives as perhaps the most battle-tested of the group. The junior out of Cypress, Texas, put together a workmanlike season at Tyler Junior College, taking the ball seven times as a starter and finishing with a 3-2 record across 39 innings of work. He recorded 27 strikeouts on the year and will look to sharpen his command this summer in the TCL. Shirley has the competitive makeup and starting experience to eat innings and give the Bombers length out of their rotation.
Grady Williams is a redshirt freshman from Hockley, Texas, who brings a promising arm and plenty of upside to the Bombers’ staff. Williams, a Business major, will have every opportunity to develop and make an impact this summer in what figures to be an important developmental season for the young hurler.
