Ballpark Beerfest a Blast

Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark was rocking tonight, as nearly 1500 people came to the 2nd Annual Ballpark Beerfest, which was sponsored by The Cork and Keepers of the Grill.

The fun began at 3 pm, as those in attendance began selecting from a comprehensive list of over 100 beers from 17 countries around the world while listening to the tunes Robert Vargas, who was the first of five bands to play at the event. Vargas was followed by Stan Crawford, Chad Hammock, Ben Morris & and the Great American Boxcar Chorus, and the night’s headliner, Big Otis who played until the night’s close at 9 pm.

Beerfest also featured a fajita cook-off between several prominent businesses around the Bryan-College Station area, with the winner chosen from a celebrity cast of judges that included Louie Belina of KZNE the Zone, Harold Presley from Mix 104.7, Kristen Ross from KBTX, and Bryan Mayor Mark Conlee. The Lonestar Loco cook-off team was selected as the winner by the celebrity judges, while the Keepers of the Grill team was selected as the People’s Choice Fajita Cook-Off Champion. The Fibertown cook-off team was selected second in both ballots, losing by a close margin.

Beerfest guests were kept busy throughout the night, as they participated in Ladder Golf, Beer Pong, and Washers tournaments in between beer tastings.

Nearly a year after Beerfest successfully premiered at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, the 2nd Annual Beerfest was an enormous success, as the event’s attendance increased by over 1000 guests. Next year, Beerfest is expected to be better than ever! Stay tuned for news and updates about the 3rd Annual Ballpark Beerfest on bvbankballpark.com.
