Bombers Add Oklahoma State Trio to 2018 Roster

Bryan/College Station, Texas – April 27, 2018 – The Brazos Valley Bombers are excited to announce the addition of Ryan Van Leeuwen, Matt Miles, and Dylan Gardner to the 2018 Brazos Valley Bombers roster.

Ryan Van Leeuwen is a Junior pitcher for Oklahoma State, who came to the Cowboys from Weatherford Junior College. At Weatherford, Van Leeuwen started ten games over fifteen appearances, with three complete games. That season he compiled 46 strikeouts in 46 innings. During his high school career at Timber Creek High School in Keller, Texas, Van Leeuwen was electric, earning first-team all-district honors and pitching the school’s second ever no hitter, winning the first playoff game in school history and compiling a 1.01 ERA.

Matt Miles is a Freshman outfielder for Oklahoma State, who is redshirting the 2018 season. Miles came to Oklahoma State following a strong high school career at Midway High School in Hewitt, Texas, where he was a three time Rawlings/Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American and was named to the Super Centex First Team in 2016 and 2017. His senior season finished him hitting .378 with 23 runs scored, 34 hits, and 27 RBIs.

Dylan Gardner is a fellow Freshman for the Cowboys baseball team who has seen limited action thus far in 2018. Gardner came to Oklahoma State following a senior season that included Gardner performing at an all-state level. He was named to the 2017 Rawlings/Perfect Game All-West Region Honorable Mention team and was a two-time all-conference performer at Stillwater High School. His senior season he hit .373 with six home runs, 13 doubles and five triples.
