The Bombers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Coppell scored 13 runs in the next three innings as they defeated the Bombers 15-6. The Copperheads used two three-run home runs from Jaron Shepard and Brock Holt as they built an insurmountable lead.
Cliff Vaughn was 2-for-5 with a solo home run and Dustin Dickerson was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI for the Bombers, who fell to 10-13 with the loss. The Bombers will try to even up the series tomorrow night against Coppell, before returning back to Brazos Valley on Tuesday against league-leading McKinney.
