Bombers Make For Busy Off-Season In Communities Near And Far

The Brazos Valley Bombers have had a busy week, proving that things actually seem to get busier for a baseball team during the “off-season”. Even though it’s been nearly four months since the close of the Bombers inaugural season, KaBoom and the rest of the staff was hard at work in recent days, both in our Brazos Valley backyard and in Music City, Nashville, Tenn.

On Sunday, the Bombers took part in one of Bryan-College Station’s most popular holiday traditions, the BCS Christmas Parade. KaBoom captained the Bomber’s float in the parade, joined by the Bombshells and team staff members. The float, complete with homemade stands and a batting cage, was greeted by cheers from Bombers fans throughout the 2½ mile parade route. The Bombshells added to the festivities by handing out candy canes to children. The theme for the 81st edition of the annual parade was “Holly Jolly Christmas”.

Just one day later, Brazos Valley front office staff attended the Baseball Winter Meetings at the Opryland in Nashville. The Winter Meetings are the baseball industry’s signature off-season gathering, bringing together team executives from the Major Leagues, minor league baseball, and summer collegiate baseball. Bombers staff members met with other team representatives, gathered promotional ideas and merchandise concepts at the Baseball Trade Show… and even stopped to watch the live press conference announcing the blockbuster Florida Marlins-Detroit Tigers trade. The staff has since returned home to add some of these new ideas to their plans for an exciting 2008 season of Bombers baseball.

Season tickets for the Bombers 2008 campaign are currently on sale. Founder’s Club seats, the front row seating that includes in-your-seat-wait service, are available, as are reserved seats in the main grandstand. The team has also created two new season ticket options. Reserved Plus will offer fans comfortable, contoured seats in the first several rows of the grandstand, while general admission season tickets – with both adult and child/senior/student prices – are the most affordable way to enjoy all the fun of Bombers baseball. Season tickets may be purchased online at bvbombers.com, by phone at (979) 779-PLAY, or by visiting the Bombers offices at 405 Mitchell Street in Bryan.
