The Bombers followed the College Station Phillies and the Bryan Grasshoppers at the Southwood T-Ball fields for our Little League Game of the Week. Thursday temperatures were low for Texan natives, as parents and fans were bundled in sweaters and hiding from the wind under blankets. The kids on these two T-Ball teams, however, stayed warm chasing several homerun hits and running around bases. These 4 to 6 year old players held great spirits during the game. Score was not kept, but it seemed that both the Phillies and the Grasshoppers played to win. Parents motivated the teams to play their best, and if a ball happened to roll past several outfielders, clapping and laughs were the only reaction from the crowd. Teams lined up to high five at the conclusion of the game, then Phillies' coaches Lance Minier and Doug Batten took the team aside on third base for a quick recap and congratulations. The Brazos Valley Bombers applaud these two local T-ball teams, and as games come to an end, we hope all other Little League teams played a great season.
